Default Sluggish ProControl since OS Upgrade

G4 933
PT HD4
ProControl 32 faders

Everything has been running smoothly for months in OS 10.2.6 . The other day a client sent a session to the FTP site and my PT rig wouldn't recognize it. I was advised to upgrade to 10.2.8 and to repair permissions on my internal drive. I was hesitant, but checked Digi compatability documents and found it was OK to go to 10.2.8. So I did it.

Ever since then, the Procontrol seems to be running a bit sluggish. The counter hesitates a bit, a lot of meters hang, faders are a little bit slower to react than normal.

I've tested the PC by itself through it 's self tests and everything looks fine. I searched the DUC and couldn't find anything specific to my issue except for a problem we all had when we went from PT 5 to PT 6. This problem is not as severe as it was back then, but something isn't right.

It may be worth noting that I have also received some -9073 errors since upgrading as well. Haven't had errors like that in a long time from the SCSI days. All drives now are FW (7200RPM +).

Please help.

Thx,
Jim

Hi,
You dind't write about which ProTools version you are running but.....
Have you tried ProTools 6.1cs3 ?
It fixes the ethernetbuggyness.
