Logic 8/PT7.4.2 - Audio dropout issue
Hey all,
Has anyone come across this issue at all? It's not on my session, but I'm trying to sort it out for the client! Logic 8.0.2, running on Leopard 10.5.6 (I think that's the right OS version), PT7.4.2. Quadcore Intel Mac (again, not sure of the exact model, think it's dual 2GHz) About 45sec after playback, the audio drops out. Stopping playback causes spinning beachball for a minute or 2 before control returns. Happens on new sessions with only 1 or 2 audio tracks happening, sessions that were previously behaving on other computers. Using FW800 or internal hard drives. This system WAS working fine with no issues - although that was when 8.0.1 was installed - in my absence, someone has upgraded it to 8.0.2, and I don't know how it has performed since (if Logic has even been used). I used it the other day with Coreaudio and it was fine all day, so I'm assuming it is something to do with the DAE interface. PT works fine, and we've done the usual preferences trash/repair permissions etc. Anyone come across this before, can think of anything else to try? at the moment, we're planning on installing Logic onto the PT8 system drive to see if that is any better. I'm pretty certain it's a Logic/DAE issue, and not a drives issue. |
