Default PT9/Digi 002R clock issue

Hello Everyone,

Hoping someone can help me here as the Avid Customer success 60 days thing has been TERRIBLE with response time. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Ok, few points so you have the info:

- This worked fine on PT LE 8
- I have an RME ADI-2 (on 88.2)
- My Digi 002R is set to 88.2 on the session
- Cables hooked up properly
- I have the latest Digi002R drivers from Avid installed (installed them, then PT9 as recommended. Even ripped out, and reinstalled)

PROBLEM: When going to the Hardware prefs and trying to switch the clock source to SPDIF, it just stays on internal. No change allowed whatsoever. Not even the clock is invalid, reverting message. I had this working fine in PT8 and it is far from rocket science. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance guys,
Ken

Is the SPDIF connection done on the optical port, or the RCA port? Have you tried another SPDIF cable?

Hey man,

SPDIF/RCA. Cables are fine; custom belden w/ canare ends. This works with my FireStudio Mobile and StudioOne; and worked fine on PT8 and the Digi002R (a week ago). It's simply an issue with PT9 and the Digi002. I was putting up with the FS Mobile and having to have a second app to open PT9 with the clock locked, but I've had 3 sessions freeze like that now and corrupt the files, so I can no longer trust that setting.

Note: This would be a non-issue (002R would be collecting dust) if PT9 would actually work with the FS Mobile - which it doesn't - always get the ASIO config has changed error. Ugh.

Thanks for responding though, much appreciated.
