Default What can be re-Wired

hello... I was wondering what programs were capable fo being used with re-wire. Can you use soemthign liek Cubase with it or Audacity? or is it just Reason..

i use sony acid pro 5, reason 3, fruitys 5, melodyne, magix studio 11,
and as far as i know if it has rewire funtions you can rewire it.

Cubase and Audacity are not Rewire "Clients".
(Cubase is a Rewire "Host"... like Pro Tools.)

To use with Pro Tools, you need products that are Rewire "Clients".

Thanks, which one out of the lsit uses the least amount of PC resources.. becasue all i woudl be using it for is to get past 32 tracks using the rewire on AUX's trick... so basically the program only needs to be able to play the wave files and nothing else

I don't have experience with this so I'll leave it
for others.
Have a look at this bit on spkguitar's help page though.
How to get more than 32 audio tracks...
His example uses Ableton Live.

You can Rewire Reaper. But there were some pretty bad bugs the last time I tried a couple months ago. They may be resolved now though since Reaper gets updated every few days.
