Default Open melodyne in a separate window 2022.9?

I find the pop up menu to be too small and annoying when editing, but I cannot find a way to open it in a separate window. You are able to open the midi editor in a separate window but there is not selection for melodyne in the drop down window tab.

Yeah I think they're gonna have to change that, it's way too limiting having it stuck to the bottom of the screen.

Also, if you hit cmd-1 to open the transport display (to e.g. just change the pre-roll or something) the bloody Melodyne window disappears! FFS

You can't comp with Melodyne on either, which is disappointing ("playlists" view). I was hoping to comp and tune as I go.

You can edit the keyboard shortcuts to make them anything you want.

Not the point. The point is the Melodyne window automatically shuts when you try to open the transport window. It would do that regardless of whatever shortcut you set up.
