Default knob acceleration adjustment

JC and/or support:

Would it be possible in a future version to adjust the knob response curve? Or at least select between the current behavior and a more linear mode.

The velocity-sensitive knobs work well for plugins such as logic's native ones which are only precise to 0.1 units, however others such as Lennar Digital's Sylenth are adjustable to 0.01. Another example is Albino which is in the ten-thousandths making the problem even worse..

That means that when a knob is turned slowly, hardly anything happens and the change doesn't show on the plugin's GUI, even though it is slightly adjusting at tiny increments. So you end up having to turn the knob fast to get even the smallest NOTICEABLE change to register.. and that is very tricky to do and counter-intuitive.

Sometimes you can even be turning a knob at a constant speed yet the plugin GUI doesn't respond as such or stops and starts.. very annoying.

Thanks

knob acceleration makes the knobs unusable for me...
it would be great if we could have linear knob behavior.

Just bought a mix to go with my control. Aside from must wanting more faders, I don't like the way the knobs work and needed a way to flip stuff down to the faders. I mean, you can do broad strokes with them, but for get about touching the knob and turning it till it "SOUNDS" good. It's like you have to look at the numbers to see how fasts it moving or if it's moving at all.

Easier to use the mouse, which sort of defeats the purpose

I don't understand why they didn't make it turn like a regular knob. 003, Command 8, C24, ICON, Pro Control knobs all turn normal.

My guess is that they only used Logic Pro's native plugins to test the functionality, and the knobs do work pretty well with those, just not the 3rd party ones.

I'm glad I am not the only one that feels this way and hope that this feature request makes it.

Actually I tried fatter knobs with my MC Control and the feel is much better. The issue is the knobs are too skinny and the pots too stickie, also WAY TOO CLOSE TOGETHER!

When doing automation I end up [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]ing things up cause my fingers bump the other touch knobs.

All these issue in addition with software acceleration on the knobs makes them completely useless for me. I had to buy a novation SL and automap after buying this chunk of crap mc control. (do love the faders though).

the knobs are fine for me but +1 for an acceleration adjustment in favor of linear control.

Another vote for at linear, or at least some custom adjustment. The knobs are unusable in Nuendo.

I'm not impressed with this unit so far. What else is there?

+1 for linear control, or at least the option of some kind of curve, but preferably linear control. I'm sure there's a good reason it is the way it is though.

Has it changed in Pro Tools 10 or is it still not linear?
