Default Massey Plugins caused PT to crash

I have a full session, and I wanted to add the Massey L2007 to the stereo bus for a 'simulated' master. I closed the session, downloaded the Massey demo, installed it and launched PT. PT opened fine, but as soon as I tried to open the session, PT just closed with no error. I ran the PT Utility, deleted prefs, databases, etc. Rebooted, relaunched the session and it opened. I put the L2007 on, set it up and did a bounce to MP3. At the end of the bounce - Access Violation Error in MP3.dll. I uninstalled Massey, and could bounce fine.

Any ideas why this would occur?

Thanks.

As much as I love the Massey plug-ins they seem to have become a little glitchy since PT8. I thought that this was resolved though with an update.

Default Re: Massey Plugins caused PT to crash

I emailed Steven Massey, and he gave me some ideas of what the problem might be. One of them was to downgrade to Pro Tools 8.0.1 since 8.0.3 has been causing Access Violation errors for some users.

He also said he is updating his demos right now and they should be up in a few weeks.
