A question for a wiring guru.
Does anyone know how to mult a line-level signal without using a patchbay? Example, I've got a 1/4" TRS smpte signal that I want to split to all of my decks. Obviously, if I had a patchbay I would just mult the source signal, but I don't see buying a full patchbay just to split the signal 2 or 3 ways. I tried just soldering 2 cables together but I just get a weak signal. How would this be done inexpensively?
Thanks in advance, Jamey |

Re: A question for a wiring guru.
If the equipment is capable, try "daisy chaining" the smpte signal, otherwise you'll probably need some type of distribution amplifier.
Good luck, Jack |

Re: A question for a wiring guru.
radio shack makes a very cheap distribution amp -- that's the best way to go. just remember to get the right adapters for it to connect to your TRS cables.
