Looks good to me although I'm surprised to see improved RTAS VI performance isn't higher up the list.

One thought though, if the Pro Tools Feedback Community is significant in driving PT development, isn't this giving a heads up to the competition as to what will be in the next PT version?

I think the Second in line feature "64 bit" will fix RTAS issues

I wonder if they will follow the latest convention and write as "Pro Tools X". :)

The bugfix updates will then be x.0.1, x.0.2, x.0.3 and so on.
But it really doesnt matter much what they call it, as long as its 64 bit.

Kinda funny to me, as I'm still on 9.0.0 with nothing really to complain about.

I don't think PT10 is too far away, and I believe it will be 64 Bit mainly because Avid's competitors are already ahead in that respect. Avid simply must go 64 Bit to keep up with the play...they have no choice IMHO, not only because of competition but also because it doesn't make sense to not be taking advantage of the extra power modern computers and operating systems are offering up. Avid have capitulated on expecting customers to stick with using proprietary hardware and in doing so have signaled the direction in which they're heading. I believe they now have to at the very least stay abreast with competitors who have already been heading in the same direction for some time now.

I agree with an earlier post in saying that I hope Avid gets the present bugs sorted out before releasing a new version. I'm hoping that's part the reason why they are taking a long time to re-write the code to 64 Bit. If i were Avid, I would be studying the best parts of my competitors products and incorporating improvements to them into PT10. Now is the perfect time to be doing these things since they are essentially rebuilding their software from the ground up.
amen to that! +1

Yeah, it's great that the guy can get twice as many instances of Stylus.... but what's the end, the ultimate point? Just to use more VI's without having to print them?

I wonder how many people that are clamoring for 64bit PT are actually having problems, and how many are people that just want 64bit (see "well every other DAW has it...")

Does the software not serve your needs? Is the fact that PT is still 32bit stopping you from getting work done? If so, why are you using it? I can definitely say that my music making is not hampered by technology at all. My issues are all business related, but that's OT.
