Default Importing Data

If I have a song on my computer, is it possible to import it into PTMP8.0.3, and then EQ away the vocal leaving the rest of the song intact? Thanks

There are tricks of flipping the phase on one channel so you could mono up both channels which could get rid of most of the vocal depending on the processing they did with the mix, however you will also affect any other instrument that was treated the same way and recorded the same way in the mix, meaning a mono source, being panned in the center etc. A lot of people do this for karaoke obviously but the original music suffers for this.
