Default System Status vs. CPU Status

Does anyone know the difference between the System staus and CPU status indicators? My system runs fin but I often get spikes in my System status indicator when using Pro Tools LE.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I don't know if this is still true with current software versions or not, but a couple of years ago we were asking questions about the various meters and we were told by a Digidesign engineer that the System meter was pretty much only relevant for TDM systems. At that time (PTLE 5.1.1 was current at the time) we were told that the System meter, for all intents and purposes, could be ignored on PTLE systems since it only really had meaning on TDM. It's supposed to keep track of how busy the TDM bus is I think.
