Default Trashing Prefs question

I just trashed my prefs from my program files>common files> digidesign>dae> dae prefs. after starting pro tools it didn't recreate that folder, was it supposed to?
I also deleted the Avid folder from my users>appdata folder.

I'm not sure if I did it correct, pro tools hangs like 10-15 seconds on exiting the program now

I think I deleted the correct folders now, program files > avid. It took longer to load all the plugins and recreated the folders expect the dae prefs in the common folder. It still taking awhile to exit the program though

I don't think so. The AVID doc I linked is for Windows 7, and dosen't mention any differences for PTools 8, 9, or 10 running on Windows 7.
