Can anyone help?? chipsets??
Hello this is my first post,
Plaese Help!!! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this chipset would work with pro tools??? Sony Vaio Laptop Vgn FW21L T5800 3ram 250gb CHIPSET "Mobile intel pm45 express" Thanks for your time Paul |

Not tested or supported and only one other DUC thread I could find and Digitechsupt saying Express chipsets can be 'dicey'. I assume because onboard graphics and other onboard devices cause problems and interrupt Pro Tools.
Since it's not offically tested it might work, but I wouldn't take that risk if I didn't have to. If you want a reliable laptop with Pro Tools, I'd take a hard look at a Mac Book or Mac Book Pro (last generation). PC Laptops esp with Core2Duo can be pretty sketch due to the strict compatibility requirements.
