Default Apple DVI-D to VGA

I'd like to add a second monitor to my ProTools setup. I have a VGA monitor that I could use but I need an adaptor. The Apple one seems really expensive. Is there a different adaptor available that will allow me to use the digital video out on the my G4's video card with an analogue monitor? I'm UK based. Thanks.

Do you have any friends who use apple computers? You get a free DVI-VGA adaptor with 15" and 17" powerbooks, and with the new G5's as well, maybe you know someone who has one laying around they're not using. Otherwise, I think it's about $30 US for the Dr. Bott DVI-VGA, not sure what apple asks for theirs.
