Softubes amp sims work fine in hdx.

Not that it's great, but what about SansAmp? That's an Avid plugin at this point.

Sans Amp is not Native.
I've used the Softube Amp's - they not for me.
I wish they could just get Eleven going that is really the only show stopper for me.
I have got a 2 card system ( As I need 128 channels of I/O )
There is no chance of running out of DSP - as so few plug-ins work yet.

I'm not at all sure what you are talking about. The OP's question was about DSP amp sims. SansAmp is both DSP and Native on an HD 10 system. Why would that be different on an HDX system when it's, after all, an Avid plugin?

Sans Amp Does NOT work on AAX - DSP with an HDX system.
Read the title of thread we are not talking TDM or NATIVE OR AAX NATIVE I am talking about HDX.

I think only Softube is indeed offering DSP-AAX amp sims plug-ins. I have Metal Amp Room and it works okay for me. Of course I realize that your needs may be completely different from mine...haven't tried Vintage Amp Room or Bass Amp Room yet so I can't evaluate these two plug-ins.

I did read the title. Most of us don't have HDX yet so how the heck are we supposed to know that something as absurd as the fact that an Avid owned plugin doesn't work in their very own flagship system? Now we know though. Thanks for the info.

All I can say is that there would be absolutely no way that I could do any of the work that I have to now with so few plugins available for HDX. For me at least, I'd be dead in the water. I'd be seriously into the higher voice count and higher ADC once the plugin makers, including Avid, finally catch up though.

Avid has replied in another thread that Amp Farm/Echo Farm are most likely EOL. It's pretty much up to Line 6, and they haven't updated in years.
