Default error launching video machine PT 2020.12
when import video only import audio tracks
the video tracks gets empty, says "Error launching video machine"

You need to lose El Crapitan and go with High Sierra or higher. Your MBP can go up to Catalina - a clean install of everything should help a LOT.

Yes. It's well known that video will not run on the OS with that version. You need to upgrade and a clean install is not necessary, but is recommended.
