A novice needs advice

I'm not computer savvy, but here's my issue - 4 years ago I bought a desktop recording studio kit that came with a Mac Mini and M-Audio interface. I just updated the OS to El Capitan 10.11.6 from Lion. Now, the M-Audio interface no longer works. I also happen to have an M-Box Mini that I've never used - new in box, that came with Pro Tools 8.0.4 After much research, I'm told the M-Audio is no longer supported and not compatible with my "new" OS. However, think I may be able to install the Mini, but not sure if I need to update software and/or drivers. The Avid site tells me I need Pro Tools 12.4 to work with El Capitan. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Yep the Mbox Mini no longer will work for you on OSX 10.11


It appears that you have found that the M-Audio wont work either.

What version of PT did you have?

It is pretty cheap to get another compatible interface these days...especially if price is no concern.

If you have to you can get a nice used one also....
