Default Firewire card - which one i should buy...?

I have an Mbox-2 and decided to use a Digi-002 console now... I have a PC running Mavericks and my computer has NO firewire connections... So, I need to by a firewire card... Most people say TI is the better chipset, some people say VIA chipset can work, as well... I'm trying to find a firewire card with TI chipset, but now I have questions about TI chipsets... I was browsing Amazon website and have found 2 firewire cards:

SD-PEX30009 (chipset: TI XI02213AZAY)

SD-PEX30016 (chipset: TI XI02213BZAY)

I've seen so many posts (around the web) saying the first one does NOT work and the second one DOES... On the other hand, I've also seen so many people saying the first one WORKS and the second one does NOT... OMG, which one should I buy...? I can't wanna waste my money on something that I will not use...!!!

I am totally confused...!!!

Does this list help,

I know mnay who have had great success with the SIIG cards but as we run Macs here and never used windows or PC you might know that better than me.

Actually I saw this firewire card, but I have questions about this card... As I can see, this is an 800 firewire card... And DIGI-002 is a 400... Maybe it should be better if I buy a 400 card, dont you think so...?

Still waiting for advices...

Thanks again...

I would get the FW800 card and a FW800->FW400 adapter. I know a few members here who use the adapter with success.

This is just IMHO of course so maybe wait for some more input from others.

I would get that card. Most quality brand name FW800 to 400 adapter cables should be fine. If you want a dedicated adapter to go with existing FW400 cables the Sonnet adapter is very reliable and well regarded.http://www.sonnettech.com/product/le...w_adapter.html.

Actually some people can use cables "fw800-fw400" (9pinTo6pin) and it works fine, according to them...

BTW, I just saw a Firewire card (pci-e) with VIA VT6315N chipset... Does anybody use this card...? Any further info about this chipset...?

No, I am NOT repeating stuff... I'm just trying to make sure about what fw card I should buy... I live in a country that is really really very difficult to find devices... We have here few options, not to mention they are very expensive BTW... That's why I am having so many questions about this topic... I don't wanna waste my money on something I will NOT use...
