Ilok Plugins not working on my Vista PT7.4 system...

Hi all,

I recently got a new Vista machine and upgraded my Pro Tools from 6.9 to 7.4 and it appears that my Ilok Plug-ins are not compatible with my new OS... I get a dialog that tells me to go to www.bombfactory.com but it must be outdated with Digidesign aquired Bombfactory a while ago. I looked around on the DigiDesign Web-site and Support sections for any updates that might apply to me but can't find anything. Any help would greatly appreciated since I have many sessions that are using these plugins I can't access!

Just go to the actual plug ins page here on the Digidesign site and download the latest versions. As far as I aware of all of the Bomb Factory updates have always been free. You might make sure your iLok and Pace drivers are all up to date also. If you click on the "Support and Downloads" link at the top of the page you will find all of the plugin updater's listed in with the 7.4 information and downloads.

Everything worked except for my Moogerfrooger Ring Modulator... The Digidesign web-site only has the Bundle which includes the 12 pass and low pass Moogers.. which I don't have authorizations.. Is there anyway for me to d/l just the Ring Modulator?

The Ring Modulator is part of the 002 and 003 Factory Bundles - you can find installers for them in the Support section of our site.

One last question.. where can I download the DigiRack plug-ins? I can't find them anywhere and some of my sessions have inactive plug-ins from that bundle!

If your looking for EQII and DynamicsII their are in your "Plug-ins-Unused" folder just drag them back into the "Plug-ins" Folder.

I'm actually looking for more than just those... I'm missing all of my DigiRack plugins like the standard compressor, the short, med, long delays, some eqs, etc...

Those would be part of the standard Pro Tools installer. Run the installer for Pro Tools and open the arrow next to Pro Tools on the Custom Install page - you'll see the option for DigiRack plug-ins. Check that and uncheck everything else, then install...

Okay,

So I saw the DigiRack Plugins and installed just those from the modify install option but then Pro Tools vanished from my computer.. although it said it was still installed on my system. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, making sure the DigiRack plugins were checked... still don't have my Compressor and Limiter and other DigiRack plugins... Also, for some reason I don't have Authorization for my Maxim and Di-Fi plugins.. which I had before. They aren't on my iLok either... Why is that??

I appreciate any help I can get on this!

Ok, my mistake - I meant to say 'keep all the others checked' during the installation, but it seems you already did another install.

When you did an uninstall, did you choose to remove Pro Tools as well as preferences files?

If not - I would try trashing preferences, so that Pro Tools will reload all plug-in data.

Have you possibly did an install of Pro Tools to a drive other than your C: (operating system) drive?
