MIDI notes don\'t sustain after being pasted
I'm working on a session right now and I'm trying to copy and paste/duplicate midi notes to speed things up a bit. I take a four-bar selection, click copy, then scroll over, click where I want the new notes to go and then paste. The new notes are all there but during playback they are no longer sustained - they are now staccato.
I've done this before with success, but I can't get it to work anymore. I'm using an instrument track with XPand! and a Roland midi controller. Does anyone know what the problem could be? |

Re: MIDI notes don\'t sustain after being pasted
i'd be willing to bet that if you moved one of the midi notes, another tiny midi note with an "x" would be underneath it. deleting each of these tiny "x" notes underneath will solve the problem. to prevent it from happening in the future, turn the midi device on after you launch pro-tools. i think there are some other threads in the forum about certain devices and circumstances that create underlying "x" notes. hope it helps...
