It does look very interesting....I just dropped $799 less than two weeks ago on an Mbox 2 Pro and now this comes out!!! I'm still learning PT LE and one thing I find very frustrating is the amount of software that was "included" but turn out to be trial versions only and cannot be used for more than a week or so. It looks like Apple covered all this and more with Logic Studio....i.e. Logic Pro 8. AND it's 1/2 the price of Logic Pro 7 which was retailing for $999 just 2 weeks ago when I bought my mac.

Although I forgot to add that you still need some sort of interface unless you plan on plugging your mic and guitar directly into your Mac using a special cable or adapters.....I'll keep rockin' PT LE for now and wait for the more experienced users on the site to weigh in with their opinions/reviews.

Yeah, but I'll bet ya the built-in metronome/click still doesn't work right.

I did a little recon mission on the Apple forums and it's mixed feelings there....some are saying it's the best thing since sliced bread and some are dubbing it as just a better Garage Band app...Garage Band Pro if you will.

I'm sure we'll all hear some actual user reviews within the next couple days as I just called my sales rep at Apple where I got my Macbook and he said there has been more copies sold than he thought.....obviously not an iPhone craze, but he estimates that they've knocked out close to a dozen copies of (combined) Logic 8 Express and Logic Studio so far today. Several commenters on the Apple forum also stated they purchased versions and opted for overnight shipping.

Oh well...back to learning how to use my new PT rig!
