Default Crap! Recored & edited in 16/48....

Thanks for any help in advance.

I screwed up & recored & mixed multiple sessions in 16/48 instead of 16/44.1
Did not realize my mistake until I listed to the bounced files & heard the speed issue.

Is there an easy way to convert these files down so I can burn the band their CD’s or am I just screwed & going to have to tell the band I blew & re-record all the songs?

After reading many different threads here on converting sample rates.
I am now totally confused & stumped.

I am running PT10.3.2 on OS X 10.6.8- Digi 002 console
(I know its ancient but it usually works great for me.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
TWM

Create a new session for 16/44.1 and import the files there. PT will ask you whether you want (you do) a sample rate conversion.

the new session would just be for the 2 track mixes
not the mix sessions

Thanks for responding JF & Craig

Sorry for showing my complete ignorance but I am not exactly sure how to do this...

I usually just record, mix & bounce to disk interleaved & copy to a CD.

When I tried to create a new session & import all the tracks.
All I created was a session that was a mess of wave forms....

Am I making this way harder than it is?

Just select 44.1 on your bounce options

It will be fine

I tried that & playback is still slow...sounds like a 45 record being played at 33 rpm.. Chose bounce to disc. 16/44.1 interleaved> convert after bounce.

Not sure why its not converting from 48 to 44.1

Well the bounces are still playing slow & I am pulling my hair out.

Can anyone give me a detailed explanation on how to do this or a link that would help me?
Thanks

Where are you playing the bounces from, did you import them back into your session? Are you listening to them with another player like iTunes?

Thanks for the reply
I bounce them to my desk top.
Bounces are playing back in I tunes.
I make a play list & then burn a cd from the play list.
Is this what I am doing wrong?
If so what is the correct way to do this?
Thanks

you could also change the sample rate header of the wav file
directly in the project window.

just select the audio files from within the folder,
scroll over to sample rate,
change it up,
drag n drop back into the timeline,
and they'll play faster…
