Stabs of Static/White Noise from Mbox Mini 3

Hello All,

For some odd reason I'll get these quick stabs of static when ever something is being played through my monitors. It'll come once in a while when I'm in a session, playing music on iTunes, or even something on YouTube.

I've searched online for a solution but couldn't find any. I've found problems people had with ProTools, but I don't think this is a software problem - or is it? Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Oh, for more details:
My monitors are hooked up to my Mbox Mini 3 and I've set up my audio output to come from the Mbox Mini 3. The Mbox Mini 3 is hooked up to the iMac via usb. My screen saver, computer sleep, and display sleep are set to never. I think that's all the important info. Mbox Mini 3: Package 1.0.7; Firmware 0.07.0; Sample rate 48. Hmmm, is there anything else...If there is please ask.

Got the same problem. Did you ever find a solution?

Hi, so the solution for me was pretty weird and I can't isolate it fully.
I reinstalled Windows but used a different disk and a SP1 edition.

Before I did that though, I bought a new PC which was still creating that issue so I assumed it was the Windows install disk.

Now I'm having BSOD issues with Pro Tools... but that's another matter.

The problem hasn't come back since the latest update: ProTools 10.2.0

I talked to a guy at Guitar Center and he said it may be my outlet not being grounded. I do stay in a very old house. That may be the issued that caused it. But like I said, I haven't had a problem since the update.

I'll keep you guys updated.
