There are already some known issues with 10.9

Keep that in mind before you update.

The uninstaller issues look pretty daunting. This one sure has that "prepare to upgrade absolutely everything" vibe to it.

I'm going to give it a go on a back up HDD. Just to see what it does. I may also try it on my MacBook as it rarely sees any audio use these days anyways.

And the only known issues are uninstallers don't work? Seems as though that could be a fairly simple and quick fix. I'm sure avid can have it done before 2015.

And -6101 errors, which also seem to be a problem for 10.8.5 users.

I'll make some popcorn from 10.8.4.

Put it on my clone-

Both 10.3.7 and 11 are running MUCH better at low latencies. I have a big session open in 11 that would not play without at 9172a @ 32 buffer on 10.8.4, It's playing glitch free @ 88% (@32 buffer) while I'm typing this.

Hoping 11 will also be more stable in 10.9, wont really be able to tell that right away. But so far it's definitely running better than 10.8.4 was.

I've been running it on 10.9 for quite sometime. It certainly didn't work on early dev versions, but has been running fine for me on my second machine for a couple of months. YMMV.

If you are going to dip your toes in the water, make sure you have backups!

I installed it on a secondary drive, forgot how slow 7200 rpm drives are. I even used to migration assistant or whatever it's called to move everything from 10.8. I didn't get to try much did try a session on pt 10.3.7 and it played back fine. I'll play with pt 11 a little later and see what happens.
