Yeah it's in the manual from what I remember / not quite a Vegas mode but close enough.

Faders don't move quite fast enough for me to qualify it for Vegas

Hmm, is there any way to really check if the touch sensors are working and that the pots are indeed registering that they are being turned and so on?

This jittery pot problem makes this thing unusable. Does anyone have it working flawlessly? I would love to know the software versions being used.

Thanks
Mike

We have all 4 units working flawless and have had them that way in our midi production room since last summer.

Latest Eucon software, PT11HD (11.2.1) on Mac OSX .8.5 qnd OSX .9.3

One is a Macbook Pro Retina 15" late 2013 and the other Mac Pro Quad Core. Both systems have been perfectly fine. Running all 4 unuts into a Wireless router via ethernet cables and to the Macbook via WIFI. No ethernet between computer and router. Inchecked several times for the pot issues but nothing stands out. These are all Avid Artist Series (Black units) with the latest firmware.

Thanks South Side!
I'm running PT10.3.9 and I think the latest firmware, but I will have to check.

Eucontrol is the latest version. Could be just that my mc control is bad??
Seems strange that quite a few others are also reporting problems like mine.
Back to the drawing board.

I just recently bought a MC Control and was having the same issue.

Thought this might help someone.

After putting it into the test mode, I'm pretty sure there is an issue with the right side encoders on my unit. When in test mode, the test screen shows them to be glitchy when touching and also turning.

I'll be calling the supplier today.

This is how to access the test mode too (from the manual)

Test Mode for Faders and Switches
To access Test mode for Faders and Switches:
1 Make sure the unit is powered off.
2 Hold <BANK+BANK>+NUDGE>+the left SHIFT key while pressing POWER to power the unit on. The faders begin to travel through from lowest to highest positions and back. LEDs flash on/off. While in Test mode, do any of the following:
• You can press any switch to see its name display on the Touchscreen. 3 To exit Test mode, power the unit off.

Forget the rotaries for panning. They never worked smoothly and always jumped around and have very odd ballistics. I don't think they will ever be fixed.
Instead use flip-mode and use the faders to pan. One down-side is that the the logic on the controller is reversed to the ProTools one. So up is right and down is left on the Artist while it's vice versa in PT.
