Why would Avid move towards a PC system only when most large studios use mac and have been since the dawn of PT .. the person who said that smokes some fine green never gonna happen. I would have believed the other way around but not going PC only ... nope not gonna happen.

Most broadcasters run PCs including Viacom which is one of Avid's biggest corporate customers.

Avid is deeply invested in both platforms. Fear of losing one of them is without basis.

Hi somebody can help my I have iMac Yosemite 10.10.5 and my pro tools is 8.3 but when I try to open protools appears this error 6007 if someone know what is wrong appreciate forever

This whole discussion is a bit out there as the two major platforms will be supported and whoever stop supporting one of them will die a pretty fast death.

Avid will of course keep both running as long as possible or until Apple screw us up again and there is no return hehe
