Gear set up
Totally new to pro tools (and production), Im building a home studio set up and need some good advice
I got PT all set up earlier then would have liked to connect some MIDI, however, The issue with my mac is it only has 2 usb ports, 1 after connecting the Ilok! Id like to know how to remove the need to use my usb ports for connecting midi. First of all is this possible? Is there something I can buy which will allow me to connect any midi device (example, keyboard, tractor s4, kaossilator, NI Machine etc.) Would it be possible to use Mackie mcu control surface (or similar) to connect my midi devices as listed above, to work within pro tools as well as using my interface to connect mic or other instruments? Pretty much a total novice looking to make a good start before college :) cheers |

Cheers for the input
Ive got a usb hub, its not a very good one though, just cheap, so thats first thing on my list. I'd rather just by pass usb all together if i could though for some reason, dunno why they annoy me so much lol Thanks for the links to I'm gonna check them out just now |
