Default 2 Questions about Essentials.

My brother is trying to simply record his electronic drum-set to audio (nothing overly fancy). I was wondering if:

1. the Fast Track version allows you to record two inputs at the same time (mic/instrument) into Pro Tools Essentials.

2. Can you install 3rd party Virtual Instruments in Pro Tools Essentials?

Thanks.
