recorded tracks not syncing/alliigning with drum loops
first I put down a drum loop.
then i record bass track. The bass track does not allign exactly with the drum loop. Even though they are out of synch by a fraction it isn;t to nice to listen to. I know I can grab the track, zoom in and allign it manually but surely it's not too much to ask to have them synched automatically. anyone any suggestions? |

Re: recorded tracks not syncing/alliigning with drum loops
Hello,
The same thing happens with my system. I think it is something that relied on what equipment you own, but ultimately is a part of audio recording and mixing. I have a Fast Track C400, running on a Dell Inspiron 1545. The interface has slight latency, and the laptop isn't the best, but works. Therefore I have to sync back slightly with all audio tracks. Just a hindrence of a basic home recording studio... but I kind of like it... it feels more like a project and improves my skills at listening to the music mix. Anyway... unless you spend £XXXXX then you won't avoid it at this level! |

Under Setup>Playback Engine check to see what your Hardware Buffer is set at; when recording this should be set as low as possible without getting errors.
