888/24 not detected

Hi all,
Recently upgraded to dual 1.25/not FW800/, so i run or at least trying to, a Mix Plus. Everything is fine is OS X, but when i switch on OS 9.2.2 and fire up Pro Tools, while loading up it says that my interface is either not connected or not turned on. My MAC OS ROM is 9.5.1, i know 9.5.2 exists, would that be the problem?
