plug ins on input
is there a preset somewhere that moves plugins to an input section?
im guessing no, because pro tools doesnt really have an input section. i know you can make aux tracks and put inserts on them and then assign the outputs of the aux to an audio track. it just gets annoying having twice as many tracks as i need, just incase i may decide to compress or eq on the way in. on analog boards you have the ability to swith the eqs into the input section, why not in pro tools? like a little button on every plugin that switches it to the input. or maybe a global pref somewhere that puts all inserts into input. i guess it probably has something to do with delay and monitoring and things, but if you can do it with an aux track, why wont it work this way?

Re: plug ins on input
I agree and with ADC it would be good but not as useable to track through.
and FYI Nuendo has PERMANENT Aux tracks for those inputs you are referring to. but your not comparing that piece of crap to pro tools are you? I'd rather shoot myself then use that thing. twice as many tracks all the time. |
