Default Apogee Digilink

So I am putting together a mobile system from some of the stuff laying around. I have an Apogee AD16X and a Rosetta 800 96K. They both have the Digilink option cards and they are on version 3.0 Firmware which makes them seen as HD I|O.

I am going into a native thunderbolt box.

For some reason, I cannot get the both of them to be seen by going from one to another daisy chained from the diglink exp port out of the 1st to the primary of the 2nd unit. I have tried having the AD16X first or second but the 2nd unit will not get recognized. They both are seen when they are by themselves.

I also CAN get TWO rosetta 800's to show up and work. But not the combo of an AD16X and Rosetta 800.

I am going to try put them each on their own port on the HD thunderbolt box as soon as I get another mini digilink adapter. That might work.

Anyone use this combo?

Apogee has a document about this, as I remember correctly. Bear in mind there will not be any more firmware updates to AX or R800, so use whatever works.

(I have SymphonyII and Rosetta800, they work together on separate HD ports)

I looked on the site. Only thing it really says is only 2 interfaces per port. So maybe an AD16X in advanced routing is considered 2 interfaces and 2 rosetta 800's are considered 2 interfaces. So its not possible with the combination I mentioned. Once the mini adapter comes in, I will put one on each port of the thunderbolt box and see if that works. It should...

I think you can combine AD16 and DA16 to a single port (16x16 i/o) but AD16 and R800 need to be on separate ports because digilink is 16+16 daisychained.

Symphony boxes can daisy-chain internally and single 2U box can deliver 32x32 to digilink using single cable.

So I got the other cable and it worked. Each has to be on its own port.
