Maybe in the post world where you need to manufacturer and assemble....

S6 has a soft keys section and many USER definable switches that are planned to be programmable and customizable in the future - much like MC Pro.

Tom, will there be an upgrade path from m10 to m40?
Assuming the main module is the same hardware with functions locked/limited on the m10, will one be able to pay to "unlock" the m40 features at a later time?

It's not the same hardware, The M10 does not have the same processor as the M40, which has a stronger one to allow for the tft screens for one.

Do you know this as Fact because it does make sense where Avid would use different firmware from M10 to M40 or chip difference which would save a lot of money. Stronger processor......meaning You have seen the inside of these units or is this what someone told you?

Although they appear identical from the outside, the M40 Master Module does have a more powerful internal processor than the M10.
