When I'm editing, I hit Cmd+S regularly. I think the difference for me is that when I'm mixing I'm not in front of my computer, I'm in front of my SSL AWS 900 automating.

My save button on my SSL AWS 900 flashes as well, but only immediately after I hit it. i.e., I have to hit it twice. At least I think that's how it works...?

I couldn't find my log. I looked in Library->Logs->Avid and it doesn't seem to be there.

Hi,

edit: typed this before you're post above was published lol yes i have to hit mine twice as well, but 1 just get in the habit of doing it all the time.

Are you not using the AWS as a DAW controller? It has a save function? why are you not using that?

How am I supposed to remember to stop and hit save when I'm in the zone? The world disappears and I am emersed in the music just moving faders, eq moves, automation, etc. Even if I set an alarm to remind me it would break the flow. Any ideas?

It needs to just save.
it takes half a second to hit command S.

Get a wireless keyboard and put it right next to your AWS. There's enough space on the apron of one to put the Apple wireless keyboard.

You could probably do this with Keyboard Maestro. For me a bit too dangerous - there are times when I definitely *don't* want to save over something I'm trying out...
