Default Plugin Bussing Novice. Please Help!

I have only just set up PT M-Powered on a new Mac and want to do the best for good long term use.

One thing I have already encountered is Low CPU messages (despite buying a lot of extra memory). I used a memory hungry plugin, Guitar Rig 2, on several tracks at once.

My question is about bussing. I am told that rather than have the same plugin on each track that requires it, I can somehow buss outputs. Can someone tell me how I do this?

Also, if it works, can each track use a difference effect from the plugin?

I am going to be adding a lot of other plugins so I need to ensure I can use them with ease without disrupting my recording.

your best option would probably be to use guitar rig as an audiosuite plug in as oppossed to realtime. running guitar rig on a buss would not be ideal, as all your guitar tracks would have the same sound.

this would be my workflow if i were in your situation:
1) set up new audio track in pt to record first guitar track
2) put guitar rig on as a realtime plugin and dial in the sound i want
3) record the track hearing the plugin in real time
4) save the preset in guitar rig
5) set up second audio track for second guitar
6) click and drag the realtime guitar rig plugin to second track you just created (note: there should now be no realtime plugins on the first tracks inserts)
7) in the edit window, select the audio region of the first track you created, copy it to a new playlist. (by copying to a new playlist you still have access to the original recorded file allowing you to come back and tweak the sound if you need to)
8) with the region still selected, go up to audiosuite, choose guitar rig, open the preset you saved earlier and apply it to the audio file.

rinse and repeat...
