Beachball on dragging in clips to timeline.
PT HD 12.7.1
Mac OS 10.12.2 I have been running this OS/PT combo for quite a while now because it has always worked great. Now, all of a sudden, I am getting an issue where the cursor beach balls for about 5 seconds any time I drag a clip in to the edit window on to a track. I've tried workspace browser, basehead, and direct from finder. It doe snot beach ball dragging clips from the bin. Just when importing them into the session. Trashing PT Prefs fixes it. But I lose all my prefs. And I have been running this combo for at least a year solid without anything like this and I have had it happen 3 times just today. Is there something I might be doing that is causing this? |

Re: Beachball on dragging in clips to timeline.
Try to increase cache size memory in Playback Engine settings. About 3-6GB. This may help
