PT 10 Strange Behaviour
I have upgraded to PT10 and am encountering an issue when I use a number of playlists and separate them at bars to be able to choose between segmented takes (i.e using the playlist arrow to promote bar length clips into the main track), the response of functions such as scroll bars etc becomes laboriously slow, as though the system is running very low on RAM (8Gb onboard, fast quadcore processor etc, high spec machine).
Also I get an intermittent halt & warning that "my drive may be fragmented etc" when I punch clips in on the fly in play mode using the editing method described above. I worked extensively in PT 9 using this work method, on the same machine, using Win7 64 bit, never any issues, worked like a dream in fact. I wondered if there might be a simple fix, I have experimented with Playback Engine options etc but nothing makes any difference. Cheers chaps... |
