Default Confirming Pro Tools registration?

Hi,
I have had Pro Tools LE 8 for about a year-and-a-half now and every other week I still get a message about registering my system. I swore that I did it, but can't find any way to confirm it. Indeed, I'd imagine I couldn't use Pro Tools and my ilok if I didn't register.

Sorry if this seems stupid, but I can't seem to find anything via this forum and web searches.

What message? Got a screen grab or maybe copied the text of the message? What makes you think it is Pro Tools and not a demo plugin that you installed?

Hi Jimmy,
The message is from digidesign and asks whether I have upgraded my system or if I've purchased a new Pro tools system, I have done neither.

I have been able to confirm that my Mbox2 Pro (which I bought new at Guitar Center at the time--and still have the receipt) has been registered.

The only demo plugins I have are from Massey, so i doubt that is it.

Fascinating.

Sorry, I'm at a loss. The only solution I can imagine is an uninstall and reinstall.

I'm quite certain I've registered.

It seems that there is a quirk that keeps the registration box appearing on some folks' computers. I was just looking for the peace of mind knowing that I have indeed registered.

Well, you don't actually need to register if you have an auth code printed on the inside cover of the manual. All you would have to do is enter this code the first time you ran Pro Tools. Otherwise, you do have to register your hardware to get an auth code sent.

Apparently is a problem for some people. Solution for both Mac and Windows is to delete the registration program itself.

Cheers.

I just clicked on upgraded, and never saw this again. Although our DAWs are not on the Web.
