Yes that drive should not be a problem exept that the casing is USB2 and that is slow and could be a part of this 6101 errors even though it isn't the main issue as far as I can tell.

We still have -6101 errors everytime I move the cursor on the timeline when PT11HD is playing and sometimes when I stopped between a 4/4 beat it gets ugly and we have the fastest SSD setup and WDC Black drives aswell running usb3 casings aswell as SSD drives from thumderbolt chassi that cost more than a second hand honda and still get these -6101 errors ..

Wow, makes me wonder how much do we have to spend to have a real great working system everytime?! I mean, I work in a home-studio environment but I still need something that works great in any case and I spent a boatload of bucks in this computer. So if these issues are caused by external hard drive, that's quite easy to fix I guess but if not, that's another story...

I think I was very lucky for the past years using an iMac Core2Duo 3gHz with only 4Go RAM and the internal drive without any problem other than CPU overload with 70 tracks with tons of plugins (as many, I used to bounce, bounce, bounce...)
