create fades batch fades issue pt le
I need some help.
It seems like there should be a way to do this in the create fades window but I'll be damed if I can do it. Example: I use the srtip silence function on a kick drum track. I set it to "I think" 19ms pre buffer and 100 ms min region lenth and get nice separated individual kicks. but some clicks on the region starts and stops. Now here is the issue: I want to select all these new single kick hit regions and %F (create fades) to select a 10ms fade in all all the regions and say a 50ms fade out. It seems like it will only let me do equal in and out fade times. So can I do it in two steps? do the 10ms fade ins then what? If I want to consolodate each region individually with the fade in can I do that? Then batch fade again and do the fade out at the longer fade time? If I consoldate then I lose the individule regions right? Do I have to do the short fade in batch, then highlight whole track then audiosuite gain or something and set it to create individule regions. Then do the fade outs in another batch? help please. g4 1.6 os 10.4 pt le 6.9 |

Re: create fades batch fades issue pt le
No. You'd have to do them one by one. It will be nice in future versions when they make it so you can choose different fade in and fade out times. Submit a feature request.

Re: create fades batch fades issue pt le
On the kik drum example, try using an expander/gate plug instead of strip silence. I'd suggest expansion, with the range set to about 10DB.

Re: create fades batch fades issue pt le
I dont have PT in front of me, but Im pretty shure you can do it in two operations:
1. Create the fade-ins. Set "Out shape" to "none". 2. Create the fade-outs. Set "In shape" to "none". IHTH.
