PT dumped preferences ??

So I had a kind of freeze of the whole computer that required a hard forced restart

Then upon restart all of my PT prefs seem to have been wiped out.
Does this make any sense???

Even things like the MIDI peripherals set up were reset.

Weird.

Anyone seen this?

Heard of this a few times before but only on Windows PC and never with Mac. Also that prefs gets reset after a major PT Update on Windows.

Yes this was happening to me for a while. Support was of little help but it seems to have stopped w version 2019.10. I am on a 2011 Mac running Mojave.

Still have plenty of other issues w PT tho...

Yes, this has happened to me on Mac from time to time since I think 2018. It's a weird crash. Sometimes Protools would just quit and close with no warning. Open it back up and my preferences are reset. It's also happened to at least 3 other engineers I know running Mac as well.

yes i have seen it on a mac a few times over the years .. have not seen that behavior in a long time

I don't know WHAT happened but I'm all of a sudden getting a bunch of things that seemed to have dumped prefs

UPDD for the Raven was also going a bit crazy and needed to be reinstalled

and all of my PT MIDI prefs had to be redone
