Default Dual G5 with dual hard drives

Thinking of getting the G5 with dual drives, one for OS and the other for recording in lieu of a firewire HD. Will this work? 002, PT 6. 4, OS 10.3.4, Reason 2.5.

This is the config I'm getting next week. With 1 gig memory. My Mac developer pals recommend waiting until Tuesday to get a monitor, the buzz is there's a new line coming out and prices on the present line (the 20" is reputedly a honey) will (pray, pray) drop significantly.

I've been playing (as much as I can in W 98) with the Abelton and Reason demo's. Please let me know what you find (tutorials, ramp-up intuitive flow chart) that gives you a sens of putting it all together.

I thought I'd start with some GB shorts just to get a feel for everything. Rewire, rewire!
