XP users getting 8 MORE tracks w/ PTLE??

My buddy tells me that some new Win XP update gets him 8 more tracks, among other things. I've been doing some looking on the DUC and News page, but no where do I see that they can now have 32 tracks. Others are talking about it too! What's the deal??

I don't know how I missed it! Seems like they're having all kinds of problems over there in XP land too. I'm hoping though that they roll out something for us Mac users that gives us 8 more tracks, without the bugs! Until then, I guess 24 will have to do (sigh). Just kidding. I'm lucky to use 12.

Digidesign is giving XP users an additional 8 tracks to make up for the fact that they have to use Windows. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

OK, just kidding. But seriously, I have a feeling that Mac users will be getting an update soon.

Do a search on '32 tracks' or 'PTLE 32 tracks', or 'PTLE for XP'. . .Something along those lines. This has been discussed at length around the DUC. Also I think when he said 'BETA' there was a tad bit of sarcasm. Its the first part of the release which sometimes might as well be BETA. No flames please as I have not had any experience with this new release, I'm on a MAC and patiently waiting for whats in store for PTLE on the MAC. . . Just trying to bring Jpop up to date here. Thanks . .. .

I'd like that update to be available within a week. Those 8 extra tracks would help a little with a project I'll be working on.
But that's just me wishing.
