Default I had to purchase ASC and STF. I am so angry

Selling one HD "system" with HD interface. One transfer of ownership form was submitted listing all three items (license, HDX core, HDIO) with one ASC (which is required even though I have an active support contract that covers the system I sold).

And now you tell me I must ALSO purchase a Service Transfer/Replacement fee that is required "to transfer your HD hardwares".

A single TOO form (up to 5 licenses it says) really ought to be covered by the ASC, don't you think?

It has really hurt lately to be an HD owner. You guys changed the rules, YOUR rules, mid-game.

A fellow walks up to a bridge he'd like to cross and asks the gate keeper when he can cross.

Keeper, "Pay the toll, as stated on that sign there."

The Fellow, "Okay. Here you are. Can I cross now?"

Keeper, "Nah, nah, you don't understand. That toll was to open the gate. Look, see how the gate's open?"

The Fellow, "Yes, I paid my toll and the gate is open. Can I cross the bridge now."

Keeper, "Sure, as soon as you pay the crossing fee."

That's what ASC+STF feels like. BS.

I have just received an email that the license transfer is done even though I have not purchased an STF. Thank you.

Glad that was resolved and sorry for the extra stress. I asked the CS Manager to follow up with the team to make sure all are on the same page with this process.

Is there now something called a Service Transfer Fee (STF)? What is that and when does it come into play?

The "Service Transfer/Replacement Fee" has existed for years and is used to cover costs of transferring software licenses (most commonly when licenses are deposited in an incorrect account and customers want to move them). In this case, our rep incorrectly directed Postman to purchase that.
