Why are my I/Os are disabled when I bounce down!?
G4 800, 001, PT 5.x, OS9
I'm working on this mix, and I've got 2 stereo aux tracks setup. On one I have an outboard SPX90 reverb unit inserted (I/O) and on the other I have an outboard Pro VLA compressor inserted (I/O). I'm bussing tracks to these auxs as needed - just like bussing to an aux with a reverb or compressor plug-in. When I'm listening to the session, I can hear the reverb from the SPX90 and the compression from the VLA, and I can see the meters on both units working. And when I bounce to disk, I can still see the meters of both units moving. BUT the compression and reverb never get printed! I thought my ears were deceiving me, but on this session I'm sending a guitar to just the VLA, not outputs 1-2, and in the bounced song, it just wasn't there! I know that I/Os are disabled in Low Latency Monitoring Mode, but I have that switched off. And my buffer is set to 256. What am I doing wrong? This should be an easy thing to do, right? If I can't find a way to make this work than I won't be able to mix through any of my hardware, and that would bite. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, David. |
