Default *MBOX LATENCY ISSUE!!!*

Sup fellow PT Users.. This is regarding the recording latency issue on mbox.. I understand that in the mac version, after every recording, you have to shift 164 samples earlier to compensate the latency.. is it also the same for pc?

I'm pretty sure this has been fixed in recent version of PTLE for Mac. Best thing to do is test it, which has been described here before. Takes about a minute.

Mbox doesn't have Low Latency Monitoring as an option but it does have the Playback knob to monitor direct.

I run LE with a dell laptop. I shift all of my audio tracks (except when recording audio that's being driven by a midi track) to the left by 164 samples, regardless of what size h/w buffer I'm set at. I read about this in Protools for Dummies when just starting out on PTLE. Seems to be working.

Can anyone clarify this thread for me? Does the PC version of LE require that you adjust tracks 164 samples? As far as I can tell from the answerbase it only applies to the Mac right?
