Cliffy.Mbox as dongle?

Cliffy how are you using the Mbox as a dongle?Do you have 2 installs of PT on seperate computers?
Stupid question I know but I called Shlong and McDude today and they only offer $300cdn on the upgrade package to 002r..For that little money I might as well keep it

Yep. My big box P4 3.06 has the 002R attached. My Toshiba notebook now has its Mbox. ( Fair is fair). I track my Taylor with the notebook in a little room away from civilisation. BTW - I just bought the Fishman Aura and am getting sound that rivals any mic'ed guitar that I did myself before. Check it out with your Larivee. Fix your undersaddle and I think this may be the winner)

I'm taking the fishman right out of my Larrivee..I never should have had it installed in the first place..1978 handmade by Jean himself..What was I thinking

Try the Aura first.

In reality, the Mbox and my Mackie mixer are all I need. I refused to get the Mbox last year because I have no confidence in USB1.1. I bit the bullet since I figured a stereo track with no plugs should be doable. Instead, I am loading full blown 25 tracks essions with comps and Eqs and its not if breathing heavy.

Keep the Mbox and upgrade elsewhere.

Did you mount the preamp in your Taylor?That is my beef. I took the preamp out and made a little box for it, because it took up a lot of space in the body of the guitar,which definitely affected it's accoustic performance..People up here used to rent it from me for sessions, until I did that, put the preamp inside.Now they even make me use a Martin
