I just installed and tried it out....one word......NICE
I was just thinking the other day that some of the digirack plugins
could use a face lift or be put to the pasture to make room for
some newer, more practical and intuitive looking and functioning
plugins. Definately a much better EQ than the older ones
In fact, I feel it's better than some of the multiband/parametrics
I've used by some 3rd party vendors.

If this a sign of things to come with Pro Tools, I'm extremely
happy and I'm looking forward to the future of refinements of plugins
and the overall GUI of the apllication and other plugins.
The EQ III is exactly one of the things I was hoping for to come
to Pro Tools!!!!

THANKYOU DIGIDESIGN!!!!!

Thanks Digi for this great improvement to your EQ. For the next version, can you please put a resonance control on the filters?

Any plans on having it work with PT 6.4?

Nice Job Digi...the graphic interface is much appreciated.

A few small questions though:

For the 1-band (as well as the hi-pass and low-pass filters of the 4 and 7-band versions), Why are both Q and Slope controls available at the control surface no matter which type of plugin is in use...and if there are two controls on the control surface for this, why only one knob in the plugin itself (always labeled as Q even when controlling the seperate bandwidth automation category)...just seems kind of weird and could lead to some automation issues for people without a control surface to see the difference. Why not a single Q control as in the graphic interface, or the other side of the coin, two seperate "knobs" in the graphic interface, or perhaps a graphic interface that somehow designates which is in use as both automation parameters being controlled by a single knob in the interface always labeled as Q could be potentially confusing? (I could see someone adding Q to the automation list and becoming very frustrated trying to figure out why the Q knob in the plugin isn't having an effect.)

Second question:
Is there a logic to the layout of the controls in the 002 control surface that escapes me?

Low freq section and high frequency section on the same page, yet I have to scroll through 3 pages (low mid next to hi mid, next page after that is mid alongside more controls associated with the eq's found on the first page) to get to the point where I can select whether they are shelf or peak type eq. Is this to conserve space on each page? How about a seperate page for each section of the eq, containing all it's controls as a suggestion. (in other words as you scroll through it doesn't seem intuitive at all: some of the low freq controls -> some of the high freq controls -> low mid controls -> hi mid controls -> mid controls -> the remaining low freq and hi freq controls ->into the filter sections, then input and output controls)

Is this odd layout on the 002 surface the result of a correct layout on a D-Control? (I don't have a d-control at my disposal to test it.)

Thanks for the great plugin, and entertaining these questions.

Cheers,
Chris

Yesterday, I didn't even bother installing it on my 6.4 system, just on the 6.7 one, after reading about the system requirements . I just read your post, and decided to give it a try, and it worked , the DigiEQIII works with 6.4cs9!!!!!!
