Default Mbox 2 Pro

Anybody seen the ad for the new Mbox 2 Pro? I just got a copy of Future Music (November 2006, Page 25) and there is one in there. Looks like firewire connectivity. I could not find any mention on the Digi site, anybody have more specs?

Here is what the ad says:

"Meet Mbox2 Pro. It's everything you've always wanted in a mobile Digidesign ProTools LE system: Four analog ins, six analog outs; 96khz sample rate support; Firewire connectivity; MIDI I/O; S/PDIF digital I/O, two separate headphone outputs; built-in phono preamp; award-winning Pro Tools LE software; and over 50 professional effects and instrument plug-ins, including the Xpandi sample-playback/synthesis workstation. Enjoy it at home, or take it on the go.

Experience your creativity in hi-def now for just $799. Visit digidesign.com to take a 360 degree "virtual" tour of Mbox 2 Pro."

The front of the unit looks similar to the standard Mbox 2.

Nice, I must have bought the Mbox (old one) on the worst possible time, first Mbox 2 and now this.

Wow. This may be the portable rig people have been waiting for to use with their notebooks. The 002R is a little too big to tote around. I wish my notebook had a 6 pin firewire port to power this thing but mine is only 4pin. Since I'll still need an external firewire hard drive and that requires A/C power anyways, I guess this is not too bad. Did anyone notice it has a BNC word clock sync. The 002/002R's don't even have that. If only they squeezed in ADAT I/O, this would be killer. Hmm...Santa, are you listening?

All that with a "new" MBox? What does that mean for the 003 Rack?

Cheers,
