Default Email to Apple CEO Tim Cook on 12.6.1 update [solved]

Hopefulling for action--

Mr. Cook,

As you may be aware, Yosemite had a tremendous change in the core audio architecture that results in the HD line of hardware being made unusable on these later version of the operating system.

Just the other day Avid released its Pro Tools 12.6.1 update.
Unfortunately, for HD hardware users (e.g. HD Native Thunderbolt) who prefer using Logic X as their DAW,
--I still am being forced to remain on OS X 10.9- which I had to downgrade to on new Mac Pro tower.--

Avid is only making available the hardware driver updates for ALL of their thunderbolt hardware for ProTools users, and for ones who have a current subscription to their $400 yearly ProTools HD membership plan.

It's unfortunate Avid has chosen to treat their customers this way. I want to enjoy my computer and my work and not be forced to switch software. This is wrong. Is there anything your team can do?

Writing with a punch to the gut-
Thanks,

Ask him to fix the broken ethernet issue that Applle broke with their security fix a while back. That's still not working.

Actually illegal in some countries -- the consumer is entitled to all available support for purchased electronic hardware. Thats why you see a drivers sections readily available on EVERYTHING EVER.
